Cava & Twitts ... You already are a small community?

Yesterday we celebrated the 3 rd edition of Cava & Twitts dedicated on this occasion, the Social Networks and communities. We had as guests Pere Rosales, founder and director Unusual Marketing and Gregor Profesionalia Gimmy, founder and CEO of Sclipo.

And I want to take the issue to share some thoughts around these concepts and what it means Cava & Twitts . The round table began trying to differentiate between a social network and community ... difficult, very difficult. Peter spoke of identification, belonging and loyalty as elements that define and justify a community and social networking as tool that will connect people and we can help create or interconnected communities (and these sentences will sack post by Julia Daniel ). Gregor used broader concepts, using their definitions the example of a town where the houses represent communities and social networks are the club, the club football.

While saying this I recognize that my mind went a little thinking about what it means Cava & Twitts and everyone who was there this and following us via Twitter ... again became more 100 people, and for the organizers is a story that fills us with happiness ... is not an ego thing, it's about having the feeling of having found an event format (round table + networking) that has convinced him enough people to devote one day a month to participate in this event. Also today we have surpassed 300 followers in Twitter and 280 in the group on Facebook . Is it too much or is it enough? ... I can assure you that if for 4 months in the Flamant restaurant where a meal of "conspiracy" for the first time visualize Cava & Twitts , now tell us that this event would be like ... I do not think so.
followed
speakers talking about topics such as participation in the networks , Pere remembering that it is customary that only involved in a community and provide a small part of it (talking about the rule of 09/01/1990, ie 90 % who listen, 9% and 1% commenting that generate value) or topics the privacy , reaching the conclusion that we are all a little " celebrities" in these environments ... show us.

My mind was searching for parallels between what they said the speakers and everyone who entered the public (which incidentally were more than 9%, and I told ;-)), Cava & Twitts , on feelings of belonging . Cava & Twitts born with 3 principles: fun (mindestens I assure you I had a great time), that interested him people (no matter how well you spend it if you're just better quit, but in 3 editions 300 people ...) and not cost us a euro (we are very fortunate to have sponsors that put local and champagne ... we consider our well-spent hours.) And was clear yesterday that was being fourth in the ... had not thought of creating a space be real or virtual, where you could start having a sense of belonging . We

finishing the round table with a fascinating subject: business models of social networks. It is clear that there is at least two: the advertising (which requires a volume business people, visitors, traffic) and income from other sources, direct revenue (Premium Services for example) or indirect (conference attendance) from quality traffic.

We reached the end and made one of the things we like most ... give continuity to the event announcing the date, topic and speakers for the next edition.

Theme: "Policy 2.0, how it affects them in their daily politicians the use of Social Media"
Day: January 14, 2009

Speakers:
  • Ernest Benach , President of the Parlament de Catalunya
  • Puigdemont Carles, deputy of the Parliament of Catalunya CIU
  • Donaire Jose Antono , delegated by the PSC to the Parlament de Catalunya
  • Rafa López, deputy for the PP to the Parlament de Catalunya

  • And now the cava, past the round table, reflections more or less deep and at that time, friends, acquaintances and first-time (say, fondly, of those who came to Cava & Twitts Primea by time) I realized Cava & Twitts and community has something, do not you think?
