Twitter and Bombay, are we going to ban tweet? Nace

I followed with interest the case, among other reasons, because he knew a person who was in that city, Gonzalo Martin . In this way we were hearing about what was happening, he and the rest of which he knew were safe ...

This news further comment notions (already discussed in this blog sometimes the ability to communicate and disseminate news on Twitter before exceptional events) if not for what I find on the blog about Octavio Rojas made the call that the Indian government asking twitterers to stop using this medium to disseminate news and avoid, in this way, spread rumors or false or inaccurate . Specifically:

ASKs Indian Government for live Twitter updates from Mumbai to Cease Immediately. ALL LIVE UPDATES - PLEASE STOP tweeting

least two reflections to this fact ...

Firstly it is clear that Twitter begins to assert itself as media ... the Indian government gives a "real power " to ask service users not to send messages. And this would be the upside.

Secondly, and this would be the most negative thinking, it conveys a sense, a message that the content generated by users and transmitted through these channels have no rigor or reliability. Does anyone forbids newspapers to publish on-line news as they do at present these events and, sometimes mcuh without contrast?

not remember having read or seen any statement from the Indian government banning publication of news, data, sources, causes of the attacks on "traditional" media ... and, of course, the following will be what Octavio and notes in his post on the approaches of the European Union on regulate and legislate the content generated by users .

What are you afraid? ... "People?
